We have been retained in disputes to assist shareholders fight claims by other shareholders.
Sometimes the environment within the company can become so toxic that the company will either need to be wound up or shares forcibly purchased.
We recently successfully settled a shareholder dispute between members of a company that had attracted substantial investment in the company’s developing intellectual property.
At stake where million dollar shares that the company sought to appropriate from our client for zero value using bullying and scare tactics.
Our client wasn’t having a bar of that and instructed us to commenced proceedings in court for an injunction and for declarations as to the ownership of those shares.
In the result the action was successfully settled with a substantial payout to our client.
