We acted for the wife in circumstances where the parties owned substantial real estate interests, including commercial property and a business operating from the commercial property.
This was a bitter and acrimonious dispute where the husband preferred to run the business down, show negligible profits and ultimately abandon the business completely in an attempt to deprive the wife of her entitlements.
Further complicating matters was the husband’s refusal to vacate the commercial property, making it difficult for assets to be sold and liquidated for the property pool.
We protected the wife’s interests by securing Court Orders removing the husband from the commercial premises, and appointing the wife as the statutory trustee for the sale of the property.
Our robust representation resulted in the wife achieving her fair and equitable share of the property pool.
